Ekin Su Koç (2020)
Altbau / Historic Dwelling XI Plaster, embroidered fabric 50 x 35 x 4 cm 2900,- Euro + 7% VAT Ekin Su Koç's Wall Sculpture Series is inspired by 19th century Berlin stucco ornaments combined with traditional handmade fabrics from the Ayvalık and Aegean region of Turkey. The fabrics belonged to female members of the artist's family and were used by the family in everyday life over four generations. This series has been exhibited in the group show "Shifting Patterns" at Berlin Gallery Nord, 2020, and in the solo show Ekin Su Koç at Anna Laudel Gallery, Düsseldorf 2020-21. Ekin Su Koç, born in Istanbul, lives and works in Istanbul and Berlin. Her work has been shown internationally since 2012. Provenance: First hand from the studio of the artist. Condition: Perfect.
